Understand official SAT scoring and why a raw practice percentage cannot reliably predict your scaled score.
Official scores and raw practice results
Official SAT totals run from 400 to 1600, combining Reading and Writing and Math section scores. A practice percentage reports how many assigned questions you answered correctly; it is a different measure.
Digital SAT scoring considers response patterns and question characteristics. Two students with the same correct count can receive different scaled scores. There is no universal points-per-error rule or reliable linear raw-to-scaled conversion.
Use official practice for score feedback
Take an official Bluebook practice test under appropriate conditions and review its score report. SAT Clarity shows raw practice accuracy and skills to review; its question bank and mock tests have not been calibrated to predict official SAT results.
Use accuracy to choose your next lesson
Compare performance on similar skills and difficulty, review the reasoning behind mistakes, and distinguish first attempts from repeat practice. A high percentage on a small or easy set does not establish mastery or readiness for a particular SAT score.
